About this opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Program Planning & Scheduling, to support the Well Delivery Program Integration Team. Reporting to the Program Planning Manager, this role will be responsible for integrated planning, scheduling, and performance analysis across a Well Delivery sustaining capital portfolio of approximately $300 million annually.
The Senior Advisor will partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop executable plans that align scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, and business priorities, providing forward-looking analysis, scenarios, and recommendations to improve execution certainty and portfolio performance.
The Senior Advisor, Program Planning & Scheduling will also lead planning and scheduling practices, promote consistent governance, and improve processes through standardization, automation, data integration, and advanced analytics. Success requires advanced planning and scheduling expertise, business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate clear recommendations.
What you’ll do
Lead integrated project and program scheduling across project management, drilling, completions, facilities, operations, earthworks, regulatory, finance, and enabling functions, aligning plans with approved scope, execution strategies, and business objectives.
Develop and maintain schedules that capture execution sequences, dependencies, constraints, resources, decision points, and team handoffs to support near-term execution, cost forecasting, resource planning, interface management, risk analysis, and program decisions.
Coordinate weekly schedule updates, interim assessments, and scenario development with project teams and functional stakeholders.
Maintain consistent project and program performance measures, reporting requirements, and analytical practices; explain schedule and performance variances, including causes, impacts, corrective actions, and required decisions; and use objective data to challenge duration assumptions and forecasts.
Coordinate with Project Managers, execution teams, Business Opportunity Managers, and enabling functions to ensure schedules are integrated across projects and programs.
Promote and continuously improve planning and scheduling methodologies, procedures, coding structures, templates, guidance, reporting, and quality assurance practices to strengthen integrated project and program delivery.
Advise program leadership on planning quality, execution feasibility, and portfolio performance, and build planning capability across Well Delivery through onboarding and sharing knowledge, tools, and lessons learned.
