The key responsibilities will include

  • Oversee TIRS contributions to technology initiatives and projects, including requirements, deliverables, timelines, implementation risks, dependencies, and coordination of approved work.
  • Lead organizational change activities for new and changing technologies, including stakeholder engagement, communications, impact assessment, adoption planning, and implementation readiness.
  • Oversee business analysis to identify business and user needs, workflows, requirements, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement associated with new or changing technologies and processes.
  • Assess business and organizational impacts and develop practical recommendations for technology and process changes that support investigations, information management, disclosure, and other Service needs.
  • Oversee curriculum design and the development and delivery of service wide technical and business process training, Learning Management System content, and related policy, procedure, training materials, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the transition of new or changed technologies into ongoing service and support through documentation, knowledge transfer, readiness planning, and coordination with Record Systems Support & Governance (RSSGS) or other areas responsible for ongoing support.
  • Provide enhanced implementation support during training, rollout, and early adoption, working with RSSGS, Information Technology, affected business areas, and project teams to identify and address implementation issues.
  • Lead TIRS workforce planning, service delivery, budget management, priorities, project commitments, and resource deployment.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, recruitment, succession planning, employee development, and workforce deployment across a multidisciplinary sworn and civilian team.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with frontline, investigative, and other business areas, Information Technology, RSSGS, Continuing Education, vendors, policing agencies, technology user groups, and professional networks.
  • Provide advice to the Director and other leaders and prepare briefing materials, decision documents, risk assessments, implementation recommendations, and other materials related to technology integration, organizational change, project delivery, resource requirements, and implementation risk.
