Job Summary

We have an exciting temporary full-time opportunity for an Informatics Lead, MEDITECH Expanse to join our Clinical Ancillary Solutions (CAS) team at Central City Tower located in Surrey, BC. This role supports the Digital Enablement portfolio within Fraser Health and is for maternity leave coverage until March 31, 2027.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Informatics Lead to support the Meditech expansion across Fraser Health. In this role, you’ll draw on your expertise in clinical applications, system integration (e.g. HL7 interfaces), and multi-system project management while collaborating closely with clinical and technical stakeholders.

You will support a dynamic portfolio that connects Meditech Expanse with multiple downstream systems, and play a key role in coordinating cross-functional discussions, aligning technical changes with clinical workflows, and supporting the smooth expansion of Meditech Expanse across Fraser Health sites. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in system integration, workflow analysis, testing coordination, project management, and stakeholder engagement in a complex environment.

Lead initiatives that support the effective integration of Meditech with downstream clinical systems.

Partner with the Interoperability team, application specialists, and clinical and technical stakeholders to assess and manage impacts of system changes.

Facilitate cross-functional discussions, bridging the gap between clinical needs and technical solutions.

Coordinate and oversee testing activities across multiple systems and teams to ensure successful implementations.

Apply sophisticated business analysis skills to assess workflows, identify integration impacts, and recommend effective solutions.

Lead projects involving multiple integrated systems, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and aligned with organizational priorities.

Support organizational readiness for Meditech expansion through documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

Expertise in clinical applications and health informatics.

Experience with system integration , including HL7 interfaces.

Strong background in managing complex projects across integrated systems.

Advanced business analysis skills and the ability to translate workflows into technical requirements.

Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders , including clinical and technical teams, and facilitate consensus-driven discussions.

Superior organization and coordination skills , especially in leading impact assessment and testing across teams.

Knowledge of Meditech Expanse and downstream system workflows is an asset.

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

Reporting to Manager, Health Informatics and Clinical Solutions, the Informatics Lead plays a critical leadership role in planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of sustainable clinical information systems transformation related to MEDITECH Expanse. Works in collaboration with the Clinical Engagement Lead and clinical partners of the designated functional areas, the Informatics Lead provides informatics expertise to promote and lead the integration of computer and communications technologies with clinical change initiatives to enhance evidence-based clinical practices.
