Scotiabank is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Director to join our Investment Banking Energy team in London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a franchise at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in shaping its future. Working alongside senior leaders across our global platform, you will help expand our Energy Investment Banking business, deepen relationships with leading Oil & Gas companies, and drive high-profile transactions across EMEA and APAC.

What you'll be doing

Originate and execute complex Oil & Gas M&A and strategic transactions

Develop trusted relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across the Energy sector

Drive new business opportunities and help expand Scotiabank's Energy franchise globally

Partner closely with the Global Energy teams, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets and coverage teams to deliver integrated client solutions

Lead transaction execution from origination through completion

Increase the visibility and market presence of the Energy platform across EMEA and APAC

Mentor and develop junior talent, helping build the next generation of investment bankers

Play an active role in the continued growth and evolution of the franchise

What we're looking for

Significant Investment Banking experience with a focus on Energy, ideally gained within Oil & Gas M&A, Energy Advisory or Investment Banking teams

Strong track record of Oil & Gas M&A origination and execution

Strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling capabilities, with experience supporting and executing complex Energy transactions

Existing networks and relationships across the Energy sector in EMEA and APAC would be advantageous

Commercially minded with proven business development capabilities

Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help grow a market-leading franchise

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
