We're seeking a Certified Millwright for our Grande Prairie, AB Sawmill , where you can utilize your Red Seal technical expertise, communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities to keep our modern sawmill operating at peak performance. Join our team and work alongside industry leaders in the forest products sector.

This role is a full-time, permanent position working a rotating weekday schedule consisting of two weeks of days, two weeks of afternoons, and two weeks of nights (graveyard shift), with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

As a Certified Millwright, your responsibilities will include

Working with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and pneumatic systems involved in the manufacturing process.

Keeping our systems running smoothly by performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, which involves inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.

Effectively managing your time while assessing when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery.

Troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing safe, reliable repairs to improve equipment reliability and maintain production.

Identifying and requesting appropriate parts to support timely maintenance and repairs.

Assisting in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, contractors, customers, and site visitors.

For this role, we are looking for candidates who

Hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification .

Have completed secondary school and training courses or a vocational program

Have completed 3- to 4-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience and industry courses in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment or millwrighting

Have the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Demonstrate a high degree of urgency and strong problem-solving skills.

Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $50.55 per hour
